History of Success
Rich Nilsen, a 15x NHC qualifier who has a ton of experience running wagering pools, was the captain for the first-ever Saratoga meet PTC Pool in 2018. After a rough start, Nilsen never gave him, finished full of run and managed to turn a healthy profit of 37.5% for the PTC Pool contributors.
PTC Pool hit the last 4 winners at Saratoga on closing day. The payoffs were huge and significant as two huge favorites were defeated in the sequence.
Race 8 - Bootlegger $21.60
Race 9 - Qurbaan $28.00
Race 10 - Mind Control $22.20
Race 11 - Sunshine Gal $17.00
$1 Pick 4 paid $15,044.50
The first-ever Saratoga meet Pool in 2018 turned a 37.5% profit, and thus every member who contributed at the start of the meet, received the equivalent profit for their investment.
Contributions for this wagering pool began at $100 and whatever amount one contributed gave them the appropriate percentage of the wagering pool for the meet.
Nilsen was also the captain of a public wagering pool that took down 2 of the 4 winning Pick-6 tickets in the nation when Street Sense won the KY Derby. That incredible Pick-6 hit returned over half a million dollars!*
Two years ago the PTC Pool swept all three days of the Triple Crown by turning a profit on Ky Derby day, Preakness day and Belmont Stakes day!
