Play FREE for $3,000 in Cash Prizes
The BetPTC real-money tournament is back! For those of you who played last year, the format is fairly similar, with a few noteworthy changes. First, Cash is King III will run for 8 weeks, beginning March 9 and ending April 27, the week before the Kentucky Derby.
Second, to qualify for contest scoring each Saturday, you must wager a minimum of only $75. Play your favorite tracks and make your favorite wagers, all using a bankroll that fits your budget. There are no mandatory tracks and no specific bets required. The contest is scored based on your return on investment (ROI), not on how much you wager.
As with the two previous tournaments, there is no entry fee and since it's a real-money contest, in addition to any prizes, you keep whatever you win.
The Cash is King contest at BetPTC.com takes away the inequities of traditional handicapping tournaments and lets you play how you want, on the tracks you want, with a very small, minimum amount of wagering.
What's at stake? $3,000 in cold, hard cash and the coveted title of Cash is King III handicapping champ for the grand prize winner.
It doesn't matter if you a big bettor or a small bettor. Everyone has an equal chance to win the prizes in the one-of-a-kind "Cash is King" contest at BetPTC.com. The contest begins Saturday, March 9 and runs through April 27, 2013. Send us an email today at email@example.com and get registered to win free cash prizes! register for the contest by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with their first and last name; 2) wager
$75 or more on any of the Saturdays (8) between March 9 and April 27 using a BetPTC.com wagering account in good standing. Employees and vendors of BetPTC.com and their immediate families are not eligible.
Please note that players who participate in all designated Saturdays have a better chance of earning a prize than players who do not. At any time new players can join the contest.
How to Play
Wagers can be made online or by phone.
Wagers can be made on any type of bet that BetPTC accepts.
Wagers can be made on any tracks of the player's choice on any of the Saturdays between March 9 and April 27, 2013. To qualify for contest play on a given Saturday, registered members must wager a minimum of $75 during the course of a contest day. There is no maximum limit to how much can be wagered.
Wagers for each Saturday cut off at 12pm Midnight ET, based on official "off" times at any night track.
Prizes are based on ROI on the players' accounts. ROI is calculated by dividing wagering returns by the amount wagered. BetPTC rewards are not included in the calculation. For example, a player wagers $100
on a Saturday and his or her return is $250. The calculation for that Saturday is as follows: $250/$100 -1 = 150% ROI.
If you do not wager the minimum of $75 on any of the 8 Saturdays available for play, you will receive -100% ROI, which will hurt your overall average. It is in your best interests to wager each Saturday.
A Leaderboard (weekly, monthly, and seasonal) will be displayed on the BetPTC News page:
How to Win
The grand prize winners will be based on an average of the 5 best Saturday ROI scores earned by the
Players during the course of the 8 weeks. For example, a member earns the following ROI's:
Week 1: +65%
Week 2: -22%
Week 3: +10%
Week 4: +244%
Week 5: -100% [did not meet minimum wagering requirement]
Week 6: +70%
Week 7: -24%
Week 8: +11%
Weeks 1, 3, 4, 6 and 8 will be totaled because they represent the five best scores (+400%) and this figure
will be divided by 5 (weeks) to arrive at an ROI figure of +80.00%. The amounts wagered each
week do not matter as long as the member wagered the minimum of $75. If the player fails to wager at
least $75, the score for that Saturday will not count. If a player only earns a score on four of the eight Saturdays, for example, the combined ROI figure would still be divided by 5 weeks, as a score of -100% will be attributed to the missing 5th week.
Saturdays, March 9 through April 27, 2013
Tiebreakers for Prizes:
Ties for prizes will be broken based on which player wagered the most amount of money over the course of the eight Saturdays. If this does not break the tie, prize winnings will be shared equally.
